European Tissue Symposium

The European Tissue Symposium (ETS) represents 90 per cent of tissue production in Europe. Its purpose is:
  • to monitor events and developments within the European Tissue industry, and ensure members are kept informed
  • to research and develop issues that have an impact on tissue- to liaise with NGOs and European institutions
  • to improve the science behind tissue usage, by producing bespoke advanced Studies using the most authoritative institutions, including Users preference studies, LCA / Carbon Footprint studies, Hygiene studies, Food contact, etc.

The British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICSc) is the largest independent, professional and educational body within the cleaning industry with over 6,000 individual and corporate members in the UK and Internationally. International Powered Access Federation (IPAF)

What is IPAF
The International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) promotes the safe and effective use of powered access worldwide. Set up in 1983, IPAF is a not-for-profit members’ organisation that represents the interests of manufacturers, distributors, users, rental and training companies. It serves as a forum for all active in the world of powered access. IPAF has played a key role in promoting many of the design, safety and testing procedures that are now established in the powered access industry.
Training
The IPAF training programme for platform operators is certified by TÜV as conforming to ISO 18878. More than 100,000 operators are trained each year through a worldwide network of over 600 training centres. Training generally lasts one to two days and is a mixture of theory and practice.
PAL Card
Those who successfully complete IPAF training are awarded the PAL Card (Powered Access Licence), the most widely held and recognised proof of training for platform operators. The PAL Card is valid for five years and shows the machine categories that the operator has been trained in. It also features the holder’s photo and signature, and can be verified by calling IPAF.

In 2002, the Polish Cleaning Chamber of Commerce became a local partner to ISSA. With the cooperation between ISSA and RAI, PIGS became the third member in a partnership for organising a trade show for Central and Eastern Europe. Cleaning firms from all over Poland are members of PIGC, including producers and distributors as well as cleaning firms and consulting companiers. The association's tasks include organising training seminars and integration sessions, editing trade publications, and representing members at meetings with government organs. PIGC is a member of the European Cleaning Federation.

Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification

The IICRC is an international, ANSI-accredited standard-development organization (SDO) that certifies individuals in 20+ categories within the inspection, cleaning and restoration industries.

Representing more than 54,000 certified technicians and 6,000 Certified Firms in 22 countries, the IICRC, in partnership with regional and international trade associations, represents the entire industry. The IICRC does not own schools, employ instructors, produce training materials, or promote specific product brands, cleaning methods or systems. To know if a technician has received proper education and training, consumers should look for the cleantrust patch and logo, the service mark of the IICRC.
